Happy 60th Birthday to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort 🎉🚠
December 19, 2025 marks 60 years since JHMR first opened its lifts in 1965. From pioneering founders Paul McCollister and Alex Morley to the iconic Aerial Tram, “Big Red” has defined world-class skiing for generations.
To celebrate, the resort is offering a $60 lift ticket Dec. 19th only, a nod to its opening year (limited availability). The anniversary also kicks off WinterFest with village lighting and fireworks, retro ski costumes, free ice skating, snow castles, and family-friendly fun throughout Teton Village.
The celebration continues all season with Avy Dog meet-and-greets (Dec 20th), Santa’s famous Tram arrival on Christmas Eve, and special kids’ programs honoring six decades of mountain history.
Sixty years in—and still One Wild Ride. 🏔️✨
